My Approach

I believe that sexual energy is sacred life force energy, the creative consciousness that dances the universe into existence.

Coming from years of study in spiritual and esoteric practices, my work draws on teachings from Tantra, Taoist sexuality, shamanic healing and somatic psychology.

I bring a holistic understanding of sexuality as one facet of a larger, interdependent whole. Our erotic vitality is intimately linked with our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, as well as the cultural paradigm in which we experience ourselves. I believe that cultivating erotic wellness will not only deepen our capacity for joy and intimacy but also lead to a world with less violence and more empathy. And in order to access erotic wellness, we must include the body on our journey.

My mission is to help clients discover themselves as embodied beings, and cultivate erotic wisdom through tending the body and soul. I take an integrative, depth-oriented approach that invites ongoing self discovery rather than surface level symptom management.

My work with clients covers the full range between talk-based and experiential techniques that incorporate the tools of breath, sound, movement and touch. I draw on a multitude of modalities including somatic sex education/sexological bodywork, yoga, Tantra, qigong, breathwork, and de-armouring.

I welcome folks from all walks of life. My practice is trauma informed, kink-positive, and inclusive of all genders, orientations and relationship styles.

My Story

Like many of my clients, I grew up in an environment where sexuality was considered shameful, sinful and taboo. My family was devoutly religious, and the values I was raised with were at the far end of conservative. I had little to no preparation for my emerging sexuality as a teen and certainly nowhere to go for supportive counselling. I learned that my boundaries weren’t important as a woman and that I was to politely avoid predators rather than calling them out. I learned that both the body and the natural world must be overpowered, controlled and transcended. And most importantly I learned that my curiosities and desires for erotic expression weren’t welcome in the eyes of the divine.

As my questions around sexuality emerged, so did my questions around faith. Over the course of a few years I witnessed all my belief systems crumble until I could no longer stay at the church and maintain a sense of integrity. But my yearning to connect with the sacred stayed with me and I began exploring alternate spiritual paths.

In the meantime I went off to university to study music while exploring my sexuality more freely outside the confines of my familiar environment. But my newly appointed freedom did not prevent me from making harmful relationship choices that were based on a lifetime of unexamined scripts. I found myself recreating the same destructive patterns from one relationship to the next, all the while losing touch with my eros, creativity and orgasmic ability.

My growing struggles with my erotic numbing prompted a curiosity to begin exploring sacred sexuality. It felt like a beautiful merging of my spiritual longings with wisdom I had never encountered in my earlier life. I immersed myself in everything I could find, read every book, went to every workshop.

At first it was painful as I compared myself to others and deemed myself “broken”. I spent a long time processing grief and learning to forgive myself for violations that had occurred. Then I slowly learned to embody my anger without fearing it would take over me. I learned to move my body more spontaneously, to inhabit embodied flow states, and to find diverse new pathways to pleasure and orgasm. All the while I grew to fall in love with my body and celebrate the wondrous things it is capable of.

It was a journey of slowly thawing out the frozenness that had set in through years of shame, dissociation and intergenerational trauma. And it was an invitation for life to enter me in a way that I had never known before. I feel more at home in myself than I ever have, and more connected to the divine through gut wisdom and direct experience. I’ve explored numerous paths that have all contributed in beautiful ways to my healing: breathwork, dance, somatic sex education/sexological bodywork, Tantra, sacred intimacy, plant medicines, shamanic work, and various traditions of psychotherapy. I’ve taken my own professional trainings in many of these fields to be able to offer them as part of my own work.

The path of erotic freedom is a never ending spiral journey into deepened understanding and wholeness. There is much to heal and undo, and also much to celebrate. My hope is to create a safe space for all those who may be feeling lost, broken and disconnected, as well as those who simply know that there is something more to this sacred experience than what we’ve been taught. I invite you to discover intimacy with your body and with all of life, one ecstatic breath at a time.

I welcome you on this journey.
